Los Angeles  – Consul General Maria Hellen Barber De La Vega attended the official Opening ceremony of Leelin Bakery & Café branch at Eagle Rock, CA on 25 February 2014.

The Leelin Bakery & Café was founded by Manuel and Teresa Leelin of Goldilocks and Eagle Rock branch is the 6th Branch in Southern California.  The Leelin family has been in the food business for 37 years specializing in Filipino Cuisine and currently employs over 300 employees.

In Consul General De La Vega’s address she noted that the opening of Leelin’s 6th Branch in Eagle Rock coincides with the celebration of the 25th EDSA People Power Revolution and that the Leelin family shares the same vision as EDSA.  She also urged the guests to patronize the products of Leelin Bakery because by doing so, they help the farmers in the Philippines.  Leelin sources its ingredients from the farmers and fisher folks in the Philippines.
