MANILA, Philippines – The peso shed 9.5 centavos against the dollar on Tuesday, closing at 43.57 from the previous day’s 43.475.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $1.17 billion, higher than the $787 million posted on Monday.
The peso opened Tuesday at 43.51.
