A power interruption is expected in parts of Zamboanga City on Tuesday, March 3, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said Monday.

In an advisory, the NGCP said the brief outage in areas serviced by the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative would occur at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The NGCP said this was due to the preventive maintenance of the 50-megavolt Power Transformer No. 1 at the Zamboanga Substation.

The maintenance efforts include the transfer of load from Zamboanga-Tumaga 69-kilovolt line to the Pitogo-Tumaga 69-kilovolt line. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
