MANILA (Mabuhay) – Three US servicemen who were with Marine Pfc Joseph Scott Pemberton in Ambyanz Disco in Olongapo City the night he met Filipino transgender Jeffrey “Jennifer” Laude went to the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday to submit sworn statements in connection with the Laude slay case.
Justice Undersecretary Jose Justiniano told media men the affidavits will be used in the case, but did not give details whether the servicemen will be hostile or prosecution witnesses.
The servicemen were in a closed-door meeting with Olongapo City Prosecutor Emilie Delos Santos.
Pemberton faces murder charges before an Olongapo City Regional Trial Court (RTC) for Laude’s slay. (MNS)
