MANILA (Mabuhay) — President Benigno Aquino III has declared July 17, Friday, a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Fitr.

The declaration was made through Proclamation 1070.

Eid’l Fitr, the end of Ramadan fasting, was declared a holiday to “bring religious and cultural significance” to the Muslim celebration, Malacañang added.
