Expanded air service deal signed with UAE over local opposition

DESPITE OPPOSITION from local carriers, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a new air service agreement, increasing their mutual entitlement to 35 flights a week from the current 28, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) said over the weekend.
