MANILA (Mabuhay) — Work and classes will not be suspended on November 2, All Souls’ Day, Malacañang said Thursday.

All Souls’ Day is a Catholic feast day for remembering departed loved ones. This year, it falls on a Monday.

“Pursuant to Proclamation No. 831 issued on 17 July 2014, declaring the regular holidays, special non-working days and special holidays for 2015, only November 1 was included as a special non-working day,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma, Jr. said.

Catholics usually flock to cemeteries starting October 31 or the eve of All Saints’ Day, November 1. (MNS)
