Alpha Phi Omega Greater Los Angeles Alumni Association (APO-GLA) has joined the Miss Philippines-USA Organization and Assumption College Alumni Association in holding this year’s edition of “FASHION for a CAUSE”, now on its 6th year.
APO-GLA is celebrating its 35th founding anniversary of fostering Leadership, Friendship and Service to the community at large.
For this year’s edition of Fashion for a Cause, APO-GLA is raising funds for its project “Books For Tots”, where an elementary school in one of the remote or depressed area in the Philippines will receive funds to purchase school supplies and textbooks for the students, who may not be able to afford to purchase them. Most of the time, students from these schools are forced to share reading materials and other school paraphernalia because of poverty.
APO-GLA hopes to provide funding for these children’s educational needs, whose only dream is to go to school to better their lives and those of their families… and APO-GLA is proud to be a part of this noble endeavor.
