MANILA, July 4 (Mabuhay) — Two more members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have tested positive for illegal drugs, bringing to 11 the number of policemen facing dismissal from the service.

PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa told reporters at Camp Crame that the 11 policemen will be dismissed if they will test positive in their confirmatory tests.

“May latest report ang Crime Laboratory sa akin na naging 11 na, nadagdagan ng dalawa yung positive. As to kung sino hindi pa alam dahil ima-match pa nila dun sa code ng ginawa nilang roster,” he said.

Hours earlier, Dela Rosa announced after the flag-raising ceremony in Camp Crame that nine out of 2,405 policemen have tested positive for drugs.

“Yung ihi pa lang na in-examine ang positive pero code ang nakalagay, hindi nila masabi dahil ang pangalan andun sa unit na kinonductan ng drug test, so ima-match nila ‘yan,” he explained.

He said those tested positive have no place in the PNP.

“Nakakahiya, nakakagalit, at nakakasuklam ‘pag ganun klase ang tauhan mo. Kayo ang tagapagpatupad ng batas tapos kayo mismo ang nagba-violate, kayo mismo ang adik,” he said.

“Yung ganung tao they don’t deserve another day in office. Right away idi-dismiss ko ‘yan. After the confirmatory test, may due process ‘yan mabilis na ‘yan dahil positive e,” he added.

He said he will not soften his stance on policemen involved
