Angel Locsin reacts to Luis and Jessy dating

Angel Locsin (MNS photo) Clearly uncomfortable with being asked about the fact her former boyfriend, Luis Manzano, is dating again, actress Angel Locsin tried her best to be civil with reporters. Locsin, noticeably ill at ease, refused to comment on Manzano’s recent admission that he is going out with Jessy Mendiola, currently the “sexiest” woman in the country. “Wala akong magandang masabi so hindi na lang ako magsasalita,” she said. Locsin, however, insisted that her apparent dour response to the question is not because she is still hurting from the failed relationship, but because she feels she has no right to comment on the issue. “Alam ko naman din na darating din iyung panahon na aaminin naman nila na sila na. …Pero buhay na nila iyan eh. Iba na ako. Tinanggal naman nila ako sa eksena so dito ako sa eksena ko rin,” she said. Locsin also did not reaffirm Manzano’s suggestions that a third party was not involved in their split. “Kung anong sinabi niya. Lagi namang ganoon eh. Kung anong sinabi niya eh ‘di iyon na iyon. Kayo? Ano sa tingin niyo?” Both Locsin and Manzano have yet to speak about the reason behind their breakup. (MNS)

Three high-ranking PNP officials allegedly involved in illegal drugs tagged by President Duterte reported to Dela Rosa to clear their names. (MNS photo) CEBU CITY, July 18, (MABUHAY) – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa confirmed Monday that some of the police directors recently relieved from their posts were involved in the narcotics trade. At a command conference in Cebu City, Dela Rosa said some of the relieved senior officials were receiving drug money. Dela Rosa ordered a reorganization of senior officials in the PNP during his first day in office last July 1. The massive reshuffle covered the PNP Command Group. Regional directors were also reassigned to “other equally-important positions in different levels of command.” President Rodrigo Duterte himself recently named five police officers, including two who are already retired, as drug coddlers. Nine police officers also tested positive for drug use earlier this month. The PNP has yet to announce the results of a further confirmatory test to verify the presence of shabu and marijuana in their urine samples. Trillanes: Convert ‘Hacienda Binay’ to drug rehab facility

Businessman Antonio Tiu and Senator Atonio F. Trillanes IV as they walk along the Rosario property, that people are reffering to as the Binay Farm in Rosario Batangas. October 23 BATANGAS, July 18, (MABUHAY) – Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Sunday urged the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte to sequester the so-called Hacienda Binay in Batangas and convert it to a drug treatment and rehabilitation facility. “There are thousands of self-confessed drug dependents who have surrendered to the authorities, but, aside from monitoring, the government has yet to implement a concrete program to ensure that these drug users will not return to their old ways. We do not have a concrete plan, as well as facilities, to rehabilitate them.” Trillanes said. Former Makati Vice Mayor Ernesto Mercado accused then-Vice President Jejomar Binay as the “true owner” of a 350-hectare property in Rosario, Batangas using businessman Antonio Tiu as his dummy. Mercado was one of the witnesses presented by Trillanes in the Senate Blue Ribbon sub-committee hearings on the alleged corruption of the Makati City Hall Building II that expanded to other city projects of the Binays. Meanwhile, Trillanes proposed to use the illegally-acquired estate for the benefit of the drug users and pushers who will be put to rehabilitation. “During the hearings conducted by the Senate on the anomalies involving then VP Binay, it was raised that the 350-hectare farm, allegedly owned by VP Binay, was illegally acquired and violated the agrarian reform law. Maine Mendoza takes it all as they come

Maine Mendoza (MNS photo) A year since entering show business, Maine Mendoza looks at her success squarely in the eye and acknowledges it’s something she herself did not think was possible this early in her career. “Pinangarap ko lang naman kasi talaga is lumabas sa mga billboard, magazines, lumabas sa commercials. Happy ako na nangyayari na (lahat ito),” Maine said at the press conference of hers and Alden Richards’ movie “Imagine You and Me.” First known for her Dubsmash videos, she rose to popularity upon joining “Eat Bulaga!” as Yaya Dub. The chemistry between Alden and Maine took the country by storm, to say the least. At this point, Maine isn’t obsessing over her popularity, whether it further waxes or suddenly wanes. Maine takes her steps one at a time. She doesn’t think too far ahead, let alone how long her tenure in the industry would be. “Sa ngayon, as an actress, ang dami ko pang pagdadaanan,” she said. “Hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ko ba ito. Baka mamaya two years from now gustuhin ko ulit bumalik sa normal na buhay.” Pressure will always be there for Read More …

Gerald Anderson (MNS photo) MANILA (Mabuhay) — “It was me being stupid,” admitted Gerald Anderson when asked about the reason behind his decision to cut short his romance with actress Bea Alonzo back in 2010. “Bata pa ako noon,” Anderson said, adding that their short-lived relationship failed due to “bad timing.” Anderson had just broken up with Kim Chiu, his fellow “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate and erstwhile “love team,” when he expressed his intentions to court Alonzo. His move did not sit well with his mother and drew much criticism from Chiu’s fans, prompting him to call it off. Bea Alonzo (MNS Photo) But despite the messy fallout, Anderson said that he and Alonzo have been able to look past their failed relationship and laugh about it. The two are currently working on a new Star Cinema film, “How To Be Yours.” “Nakakatawa kasi noong panahon na iyon ay madaming nagsasabi na, ’10 years from now ay pagtatawanan mo itong breakup ninyo.’ Noong time na iyon, sinasabi ko, ‘Huh? Hindi. Parang end of the world na ito eh.’ But like now, ‘pag nasa shooting kami ay pinagtatawanan na lang namin,” he shared. Anderson also admitted that he now feels closer with Alonzo, using words like “surreal” to describe his experience working with his former girlfriend on the set of the their first film together as lead stars. “Childhood crush ko po iyan eh.
