BFAR suspends De Oro accreditation over tainted scallops

THE AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT’S Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has temporarily suspended the accreditation of De Oro Resources, Inc. to export fishery products with a pending audit on reports that the company exported hepatitis A virus-infected frozen raw scallops to the United States.
