KATRINA Halili with daughter, Katrence (MNS photo) KATRINA Halili shared giving birth to Katrence, her daughter with R&B singer Kris Lawrence, brought so much changes in her personal and professional life. In a recent interview with the actress, the 28-year-old said she’s now more conscious of her actions on and off camera. “Nung nagkaanak ako, mas naging conscious ako sa mga ginagawa ko. Ayaw ko na yung anak ko pag nagka-boyfriend, live-in sila or mag-baby sila. Gusto ko maging magandang impluwensya,” she said. “Mas nag-mature, mas nagkaroon ng discipline sa sarili ko. Mas nagkaroon talaga ng direction. Hindi na ako yung dati na uunahin ko yung sarili ko. Mas focus din ako sa trabaho ko,” Katrina said. She now prefers doing goody roles as opposed to her past kontrabida projects. She even decided to live separately from Lawrence, as they are not married yet, to set a good example to her daughter. “Kasal muna bago magsama. A man of faith, Heddy Trinidad’s father’s day wish will soon come to fruition when his four kids arrive here in Los Angeles. CANASTOTA (AFP) – Ten-time boxing world champion Oscar de la Hoya was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame on Sunday, using the occasion to call for unity in the sport. The 41-year-old Mexican-American earned his place in the boxing shrine with a professional career that included 10 world titles in six different weight divisions. He turned pro after a sparkling amateur career that included an Olympic gold medal. “Today marks an incredible personal achievement, but it is only the latest milestone that never would have been possible without my family, my friends and, most of all, my fans,” De la Hoya said at his induction ceremony. He went into the Hall as part of an All Star class that included rival Felix “Tito” Trinidad of Puerto Rico and undefeated Super Middleweight World Champion Joe Calzaghe of Wales. Abigail Binay’s allegations that a group of brothers engaged in politics and mining were behind a demolition job against her family. The Binays’ patriarch, Vice President Jejomar Binay, is expected to fielded by the opposition as its standard bearer in 2016. “No, I don’t feel alluded to. I’m not in mining. I’m in politics. My two brothers are in mining, but in different companies,” Zamora told reporters in a press briefing. Zamora’s brothers are Manuel Jr., and Salvador. The congresswoman last week released a statement slamming those behind the release of the white paper linking her and other Binays to the pork barrel scam. IT IS a common belief that there is no longer any remedy once a deficiency tax assessment by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has been rendered final for failure to appeal the disputed assessment or for some other reason — that the taxpayer is left with no choice but to pay the assessed taxes. However, the truth is the taxpayer is not entirely helpless because the Tax Code provides for two possible remedies: compromise or abatement.
