Coco reveals Vice Ganda almost quit showbiz

Coco Martin (MNS photo) Coco Martin revealed during the victory party of “Beauty and the Bestie” that there was a time when his friend Vice Ganda thought of quitting showbiz. Martin said this happened when the TV host-comedian was making showbiz headlines left and right. But Martin constantly reminded his co-star of all their hard work in reaching where they are today. Martin credits “Beauty and the Bestie” for reigniting Vice Ganda’s enthusiasm for work. Turning emotional, Vice Ganda said “Beauty and the Bestie” wouldn’t be a huge success if not for Martin and the rest of the cast and Read More …

The Ferrari enabled the Italian manufacturer to win the Constructors’ World Championship title in 1957. The identity of the purchaser of the Spider was not revealed following Friday’s deal but is US-based, according to Matthieu Lamoure, director general of Artcurial motorcars. “Clearly, we won’t soon forget,” Lamoure told journalists after the hammer came down on the record sale, bidding having started at 20 million euros. Transco to tackle land issues in Mindanao

Philippine Daily Inquirer By: Riza T. Olchondra, February 6th, 2016 02:05 AM The National Transmission Corp. (Transco) will make an inventory of land along transmission lines in Mindanao as part of efforts to resolve right of way issues that hamper energy security in the power-starved island, the Department of Energy (DOE) said Friday. Other agencies were tasked as follows: the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines for security matters, the Department of Justice (DOJ) to study legal issues, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) for the community relations and DOE for the information, education, and communication (IEC) campaign. On security concerns, nearby communities are called upon again to help scout and secure the transmission facilities. Members of the police and the military will be involved to augment and assist them, DOE Secretary Zenaida Y. Monsada said in a statement. Monsada also underlines that the government is seeking all legal recourse following the persistent concerns compromising the country’s expensive power facilities. Read More …
