Who will be part of Rufa Mae’s wedding entourage

Rufa Mae Quinto (MNS photo) Ai Ai delas Alas, Aiko Melendez, Joyce Jimenez and LJ Moreno will be part of the wedding entourage of Rufa Mae Quinto, the sexy comedienne said. Quinto, who got engaged to boyfriend Trev Magallanes in February, said they have decided to hold the wedding in the Philippines. Quinto is set to marry Magallanes in November. “Kaya nga dito ko gagawin para ma-involve ko ang lahat, kasi ito ang buhay ko eh, bakit i-se-secret? Tsaka masaya na makita nila ako na maligayang maligaya na talaga, na lalagay na sa tahimik talaga kasi nasaksihan nila ang ups and downs,” she explained. Will she quit showbiz after tying the knot? “Tuloy pa rin naman. Siyempre showbiz na ‘ko eh,” she said. Quinto also said she and Magallanes are not in a rush to have a baby soon. “Mga after one or two years ganyan. With the determination to fulfill its mandate even in the midst of challenges, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has come up with a strategic plan that is designed to help the organization achieve its vision to be an institution of service excellence and integrity. This strategic plan will serve as the BIR’s roadmap for the next five years (i.e., 2016-2020) and aims to achieve seven high-level strategic objectives, namely: attain collection targets and sustain collection growth; improve taxpayer satisfaction and compliance; strengthen good governance; improve assistance and enforcement; build and deploy information technology systems, processes and tools; improve integrity, competence, professionalism and satisfaction of human resources; and optimize management resources. These seven overarching objectives shall support the BIR’s goal of improving services to taxpayers to increase voluntary compliance and of enforcing the laws for those who do not comply.

City of LA announces  entertainment lineup for ‘Pacific Bridge’ concert

New outdoor event featuring prominent Asian Pacific American entertainers and performers LOS ANGELES – Councilmember David Ryu and the City of Los Angeles will be rounding off the end of Los Angeles Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (LAAPAHM) with “Pacific Bridge,” a high energy family-friendly concert that invites some of the most renowned Asian Pacific American(APA) artists and entertainers for an evening of celebration and live-performances. This free event will debut on May 21, 2016 between 6:00pm – 9:00pm on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall. Presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte told reporters late Sunday that he is not comfortable with being addressed as “President”. Rather, he wants to retain the title he held for 22 years. “I ask everybody to call me ‘mayor’ lang,” he said.  “Mayor of the Philippines nga lang.” Nonetheless, his spokesperson Peter Laviña previously said that the public should sometimes formally address Duterte to respect the Office of the President. “But as I said, you can call him by whatever name you prefer but there will be times that you have to address him officially and formally as Mr. President,” he reminded. Duterte, who will become the Philippines’ 16th President by June 30, has been given several  nicknames including Digong, DU30 and Rody. Duterte economic team vows to ease restrictions on foreign investments

(MNS photo) MANILA  (Mabuhay) – Presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte will focus on easing restrictions on foreign direct investments specifically on land ownership and share of capital, Ernesto Pernia, one of the members of his economic team, said on Monday.  “He’s willing to go for a land lease for 50 years, renewable for another 50 years. And then on the share between the capital of foreign investors and local investors, now it’s 60 percent local, 40 foreign. He said he is willing raise the foreign share up to 70 percent and 30 percent to local investors,” Pernia said. “Those are what foreign investors are interested or have been complaining about in the past. If those measures are combined along with easing of constitutional restrictions in foreign direct investment, I’m sure we will have a surge in foreign direct investments in the coming years,” he added.
