AFTER all the problems and controversies they’ve been through, Heart Evangelista said being with Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero is all worth it.
Heart said in an interview on Monday that Escudero opened her eyes to the world and taught her a lot of things about love and life.
“Ibang klase talaga yung nagawa sa akin ni Chiz as a woman, emotionally, in-introduce niya ako to the world. Hindi na ganun nakakatakot yung mundo sa akin dahil alam ko na katabi ko siya. Ang laki talaga ng pagbabago nung dumating siya sa buhay ko,” she said.
Heart added she’s happy that they have kept the relationship private even though they are both public figures.
“What people should understand is our relationship is not what the public wants it to be. The wedding is not a deadline and we have a lifetime to fix everything,” she said.
The Kapuso actress also said she’s looking forward to spending the rest of her life with the senator.
“(I’m looking forward to) everything. And yung adjustments because I know hindi siya magiging madali but the only thing that it will do to me is to make me a better person. Ang laki ng pinagbago ko nung dumating siya sa buhay ko and alam kong marami pang magandang pagbabago,” she said.
Now that she’s set to marry Escudero on February 15 at the exclusive Balesin Island Club in Quezon, Heart confirmed that her siblings will attend the wedding, but not her parents.
The actress said she’s in speaking terms with her parents although they still have to accept that she’s entering married life soon.
“Ever since naman yun na ang naging problema namin ng parents ko, it was hard for them to let me go. May konting hope na sana pumunta sila pero I’ve accepted na din kung hindi. As their daughter ako na lang ang makakaintindi sa kanila,” Heart said.
Heart said she will walk down the aisle alone if her father, Rey Ongpauco, will not make it to the private ceremony.
“Parang it symoblizes yung naging journey ko, na being brave, pinaninindigan ko ito and it’s a lifetime choice. As a woman this is what I face kaya okay na ako doon,” she said.
After the wedding, Heart and Chiz will host a bigger celebration in Manila on February 18. (Sunnex)
