MANILA (Mabuhay) – The Sandiganbayan First Division has allowed former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to visit her ailing half-brother.

The anti-graft court allowed Arroyo to visit cancer-stricken Arturo dela Rosa Macapagal at the Makati Medical Center from 3 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, August 11.

Arturo is reportedly suffering from prostate cancer.

Sandiganbayan said Arroyo will be the one to shoulder the expenses for her furlough.

Arturo is the eldest of the four Macapagal siblings. He and Cielo Macapagal are half-siblings of the former president and Diosdado Jr. or Buboy.

Arturo and Cielo are the children of the late President Diosdado Macapagal with his first wife, Purita dela Rosa.

The former president and Buboy are the late president’s children with former First Lady Evangelina Macapagal.

The Pampanga representative is currently under hospital arrest at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center for plunder in connection with the alleged misuse of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) funds. (MNS)
