Meet Peugeot’s family vehicles

MANILA, Philippines – Since officially bringing Peugeot into the Philippines late in 2012, local Peugeot importer Eurobrands Distributor Inc. (EDI) has made a firm commitment to bring in a vehicle mix that would address the needs of Filipino motorists. Complementing the 3008 Crossover, the 508 Executive Sedan and the sporty and svelte RCZ are Peugeot’s family vehicle offerings – the 5008 compact MPV and the Expert Tepee Family Van. “We at EDI have always kept the right product mix for our customers in mind. For Filipino families, who are fond of traveling together, we made sure we had not just one but two choices. For small families, there is the 5008 compact MPV that offers versatility and seating for up to seven passengers. For larger families, we have the Expert Tepee Family Van that can seat up to eight or nine and still have enough luggage space in the rear compartment. Both these vehicles offer the unique driving and riding qualities inherent in each and every premium Peugeot product. To top it all off, both these fantastic vehicles are powered by diesel fed engines that feature Peugeot’s fuel saving HDi system,” said Dong Magsajo, Marketing Director of EDI. With nine full service dealerships strategically located all over the country, Filipino car buyers are assured of easy access to EDI’s premium product offerings – the 3008 Crossover, the 5008 Compact MPV, the 508 Executive Sedan, the RCZ Sports Car, and the new Expert Tepee Family Van. Rhian Ramos races again in the Vios Cup—but this time it’s personal

She has that classic face that could launch a thousand ships. She gets paid for appearances, offered millions to act in movies and even more for endorsements. But this time she’s doing it for love. Celebrated actress and television star Rhian Ramos will once again don the red Toyota racing suit and go wheel to wheel with a grid of 31 race-prepared Vios Cup racecars in the highly anticipated Toyota Vios Cup this weekend, May 24, at the Clark International Speedway. And she is giving you the chance to ride along with her. Seriously. It all started three weeks ago when Rhian became my first customer after I offered myself up as a personal chauffeur in a Maserati Quattroporte to raise funds for a colleague whose 2-month old daughter needed heart surgery. The photo of her in the back of the Maserati was enough to send the bidding war into a frenzy. From a lofty goal of making P20,000, in that one weekend alone, the Maserati chauffeur drive had earned P234,000 just by ferrying folks around. Other big time names with even bigger hearts like Iza Calzado helped out, as did Marlon Stockinger, Rovilson Fernandez,  Ryan Agoncillo and Juday, that by the end of my two-weekend stint, the car had fetched (both figuratively and literally) P538,000 for Alessandra’s operation. It also captured the hearts of thousands of people who in one way or another, helped us raise P200,000 during a charity auction and benefit concert last Sunday where Basti Artadi Read More …

THE PHILIPPINES is poised to still be among the top performing economies in Asia this year, although some analysts predict a growth rate slower than the 7.2% growth target in 2014. Yet it would seem that we are proceeding well: the stock market is slowly but steadily recovering, new initial public offerings (IPOs) are entering the market, and investor confidence remains high. It is still an auspicious time to look at the rise of private equity (PE) in the region, and how it may more deeply impact business and investment for the rest of 2014.
