What Richard Gutierrez thinks of Sarah Lahbati’s sexy numbers

Sarah Lahbati (MNS Photo) Despite her several well-received appearances on “ASAP,” there is one production number that Sarah Lahbati really wants to do on the ABS-CBN Sunday variety show During her Kapamilya Chat, which was uploaded on YouTube, Lahbati said she would love to share the stage with singer-actress Sarah Geronimo. “Wouldn’t it be fun to have a Sarah G and Sarah L in a production number? I’ve seen her perform and I think she’s an amazing singer- dancer,” she said. “Ang husay niya talaga. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang hindi niya kayang gawin,” she added. Nonetheless, Lahbati said she already feels fortunate to have shared the stage with some of the hottest Kapamilya stars like Rayver Cruz, Enrique Gil and Enchong Dee in her past “ASAP” numbers. But how does her boyfriend, Richard Gutierrez, feel about her sexy performances on the show? “Pinipilit ko siyang manood. Natutuwa naman siya. He’s very, very supportive and every time I have a performance, sinasabi ko na tumutok siya kasi importante sa akin ‘yung opinion niya and ng loved ones ko kasi nga I’m very OC and perfectionist. Gusto ko malaman kung okay ba ang ginawa ko, yung mga galaw. I ask them for their opinions. Si Chard is very, very supportive,” she explained. While the transfer of the Swiss-Filipina actress is not yet official, Lahbati said she’s been having a good time since she started appearing in various shows of ABS-CBN. “Sobrang nakakataba ng puso. Gloria C. Rull: Asian Women Entrepreneurs’ ‘Rise of the Lotus Awardee’

The lotus flower has been associated with purity and beauty and its exquisiteness and symbolism with rebirth had made it one of the most meaningful emblems of achievement. The nonprofit Asian Women Entrepreneurs of Orange County (AWE) had aptly named its event recently at the White House Restaurant in Anaheim “The Rise of Lotus Awards Celebration” to emphasize the strong connect of the two distinguished awardees whom they were bestowing honors for their exemplary achievements  in their chosen fields. The other awardee was Jeannie Luong who received the “Lotus Legendary Award”. Fil Am civic leader Gloria C. Rull has just attached to his strings of recognition the “Lotus Award” for making a difference in her field from which women in particular could draw inspiration from in a field where “women business starters were twice as men” but seemingly are at a disadvantage when it comes to knowing the right people, getting information and support and especially obtaining capital to make their business grow”. Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs: Civic leader/Entrepreneur beams after receiving the “Lotus Award” from the Outstanding Women Entrepreneur at a recent ceremony. Glad to be back

After being bedridden for almost 45 days due to a vertebral fracture, I am almost as normal as I used to be before my freak accident. I was also diagnosed as having spinal stenosis. To all my friends and family who cared for me when I was crippled, a million thanks to all of you. But I would like to mention two people who have been instrumental in nurturing me back in good health, as well as in providing me the best medical treatment that I could possibly get from my health insurance. These two people are Dr. Kais Alsharif and Joseph Doratan. I was just lucky and thankful to God that I had these two wonderful fellows on my side during my ordeal. The pain on my back before I saw Dr. Alsharif was intensely violent that, sometimes, I couldn’t even go to the bathroom to relieve myself. Dr. Alsharif is a practicing pain management doctor and head of the Pain Management Associates Inc in Orange county. His expertise is in interventional and chronic pain management and musculoskeletal disorders. Dr Alsharif is a double board certified in both pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Joseph Doratan, on the other hand, owns the Global Wealth Insurance services. Global Wealth is the official storefront of Covered California health insurance (Obamacare) in West Covina area. Through Doratan’s help, I was able to switch my health insurance from Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) to Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) for me to be able to Read More …

Gabby to daughter KC: Listen to your heart, heed instinct

Gabby Concepcion (MNS Photo) Gabby Concepcion has never been the type to intrude on her daughter KC Concepcion’s love life and he’s not about to change his stand. The subject was brought up at a recent press conference wherein Gabby was asked to comment on news that KC is back on the dating game months after her reported breakup with actor Paulo Avelino. Apparently, Gabby and KC rarely talk about her love life whenever they’re together. “Adult naman na siya at sa buhay naman ng isang tao ay dumarating na siya na ang magde-decide kung ano gusto niya,” he said. What’s more important to him is for KC to find someone who will appreciate her even behind the cameras. “But I will always be there sa mga bagay na ginagawa niya at kung ano ang paniniwala niya,” Gabby added. The actor said he’s always told KC to not just listen to her heart when it comes to love. “Use your mind also and, basically, follow your feelings, your instinct,” he said. Gabby also addressed the reported issue between KC and her mom Sharon Cuneta. Recall that in June, Sharon expressed frustration over a sexy photo of KC, saying she is hurt every time she sees her daughter in daring pictorials. “Personally, open-minded naman ako sa arts and all that,” Gabby said. “Siguro kung bata pa siya eh, makikialam talaga ako.” He believes KC knows what she is doing. “Sa tingin ko hindi naman siya nakakasakit ng tao. Kanya-kanyang paniniwala ‘yan Read More …

Estrada can’t replace Binay, Poe, says election lawyer

Vice President Jejomar Binay (left) huddles with Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada (center) and United Nationalist Alliance spokesperson Toby Tiangco during a visit to the Manila City Hall on Wednesday. Binay and Estrada were mum on the agenda of the meeting. (MNS Photo) MANILA (Mabuhay) – Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada cannot be a substitute for both Senator Grace Poe and Vice President Jejomar Binay if both will be disqualified to run for President, election law expert Atty. Romulo Macalintal said in a statement Thursday. Binay has been ordered criminally charged by the Office of the Ombudsman for his involvement in the overpriced construction of the Makati Parking Building. However, the case will be filed only once his term ends. Poe, on the other hand, is facing disqualification case before the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET). Presidential aspirant Rizalito David, in his complaint, said Poe, adopted daughter of celebrity couple Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces, is not a natural-born citizen considering that she is a foundling, a child with no known parent. Being a natural-born citizen is one of the qualifications to run for higher office. Macalintal said Poe is an independent candidate who cannot be substituted. “Section 19 of Comelec resolution 9984 provides ‘No substitution shall be allowed for any independent candidate’,” Macalintal said. On the other hand, Macalintal said Binay was nominated by the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) and can only be replaced by an UNA member. “Estrada is a member of PMP (Partido ng Masang Pilipino), hence, cannot sub Read More …

Robredo said she is honored that she was even considered by the Liberal Party (LP) as its vice presidential bet despite her initial reluctance to run. “It’s still a privilege and honor to be considered for this post. All those who have been considered have been preparing for a national post for a very long time. Ako lang yata ‘yung walang ganoong preparation,” the Camarines Sur representative said. “I always believe in fate, that everything will fall into place eventually if it is meant to be. It doesn’t really matter if I was the second choice or the last choice. ‘Yung pakiramdam na we have obligations bigger than ourselves, hindi mo na maiisip kung pang-ilang choice ka.” The LP initially considered presidential candidate Senator Grace Poe and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos as Roxas’ running mate before finally pursuing Robredo. Robredo also admitted that she would have to double her efforts to boost her Read More …
