VIENTIANE – President Rodrigo Duterte failed to attend the meeting of regional leaders with the United States and India on the last day of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) summit here on Thursday.

As of press time, Malacañang has yet to issue an explanation regarding the President’s absence in the two meetings.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr. represented Duterte in both summits. CDG/rga
