Rational occupants of the planet Earth are rallying to save and conserve the resources that God has placed in their hands if they still so desire to enjoy what is has to offer in this generation and the next.
This is plain and basic faithfulness to the concept of stewardship which had gone berserk with irrational abuses that man has subjected the environment and now are reaping the expected results of their blatant disregard for their discordant behavior.
The world, fortunately is heeding the wake up call that if man doesn’t do his share in conserving and protecting, or being good stewards of the natural resources that surround him, he himself will be among the first victims of this utter disregard. Already, in many parts of the world, governments are joining the advocacy to arrest the damage resulting from many years of neglect.
In Orange, conservationists and green advocates will bring to focus their shares in stewarding resources to help arrest the harmful effect of years of utter disrespect for nature.
The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County joins this year’s effort, its eight consecutive years of faithful advocacy, in raising public consciousness on this burning concern and elicit wider support in saving the planet from destruction.
FACCOC’s Annual Green, Conserve and Health Expo on August 4th at the Pacific Ballroom of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will bring under one roof hundreds of “green” advocates with their products, services and ideas.
The day-long event will highlight the importance of the environment and sustain awareness on the merits of going green.
The Atty. Linda Sarno, a strong advocate for the environment in her lifetime and in whose memory this year’s event is dedicated to promises to be a more meaning information effort to reach out to the community.
FACCOC has been an active participant in this environment and entrepreneurial advocacies by encouraging and promoting the green movement and providing a venue for exhibitors, participants, cities and government agencies, sponsoring corporations, representatives from the utility companies, sellers of ‘green’ or eco-conservation products, and consumers to meet and exchange information, experience and know-how about preserving the environment and at the same time provide a marketing outlet for various health and eco-friendly products and service .
This year’s event will recognize green advocates who will join the ranks of Emerald Awardees as “Best Green Company, City or Entity”. “Best Green Product or Service”, and The green movement which started in the 70’s is rooted in the American philosophy as innovative, idealist and active. “Best Conservation Program”.
“Going green” has blossomed into a huge movement over the years with more and more people becoming aware and interested on what going green really mean and what benefits it has for the society. With the present state of the economy, everyone wants to save and “going green” is one great ways to do it. People go green in various applications from food, cosmetics for women to furniture and dwellings and in almost everything.
“Go Green” advocate FACCOC is a nonprofits organization founded in 1994 “to help small and medium-sized businesses grow through workshops, providing procurement opportunities, mixers, mentorship and other programs to network and link members to successful business professionals”.
FACCOC is one of the most active nonprofits in Orange County which consists of 34 cities and the most populous in the State of California.
