Actress Heart Evangelista said she is not yet ready to reconcile with her mother, who has expressed strong disapproval of her relationship with Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
Evangelista said that she would rather wait for the right time to patch things up with her mother.
“My mom and I are not really okay. I’m not going to be pretentious. I’m not also ready, and ayaw ko din madaliin because I don’t want it to end up like before. So better na it takes longer, and then talagang totoo, rather than we talk, tapos maging pilit lang, and it will just blow up in our faces,” she said.
According to Evangelista, it will not be easy for either of the parties to forget what happened in 2013 because “it’s a compilation of everything I’ve been through in my life.”
Earlier, Evangelista admitted that she and her mom indeed crossed paths at a mall in Makati before Christmas but they did not even exchange words.
“Nung nangyari ‘yung sitwasyon, tinawagan ko [si Chiz], sabi niya puntahan na lang kita sa bahay mo, ipag-pray na lang natin ‘yan. Wala na talaga tayong magagawa,” she said.
The 28-year old actress said she just wants “to continue living a good life, and then the blessings will continue.”
“I don’t think there is anything material that would make me happy. How can I ask for anything when there are so many things going on in our country? It seems so selfish. All I want right now is for everyone to be happy, because I’m happy,” she said. (MNS)
