The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board on Thursday denied a motion by a bus company appealing the suspension of 42 units for an accident that killed a bystander in Zambales last Monday.
In posts on his Twitter account, LTFRB chairman Winston Ginez said the LTFRB denied the motion for reconsideration filed by Victory Liner regarding the suspension of its 42 units.
An earlier report by radio dzBB’s Allan Gatus said the preventive suspension will take effect for 30 days.
One person was killed while at least 38 were injured in Monday afternoon’s accident.
During the preventive suspension, the covered buses are to undergo roadworthiness tests while their license plates are removed.
