Just weeks after denying reports that he is in a relationship with Jessy Mendiola, Luis Manzano finally admitted that he and the actress are dating.
“Lumalabas kami,” Manzano told reporters at the press conference for the third season of the game show “Minute To Win It,” which will start airing on July 18. “Kasi kapag-deny ko ‘yon ay magagalit kayo sa aking lahat. Mukha naman akong tanga kapag dininay ko ‘yon.”
“Hindi kami puwedeng mag-deny kasi mayroon kaming pictures online. Parang ang weird naman noon kung idi-deny ko ‘yon,” he also said, referring to photos of him and Mendiola at a mall, which were posted by fans online.
However, Manzano refused to give further details about his personal life.
“Sabi ko nga, anything I answer hahanapan ng mali. Sumagot na nga ako dati nahanapan ng mali, eh di tatahimik na lang ako. Uulitin ko lang: kung alam ko ang tao ay sasaksakin ako bakit ko bibigyan ng kutsilyo?” Manzano explained.

Mendiola earlier went on the record to say that that they are not hiding anything.
“I am not the type naman to be so cautious about it or be so scared na makita ako ng ibang tao sa labas kasi I am single. I don’t have any problems with going out with other people,” she said.
Mendiola even went on to say that Manzano stands a chance with her.
Asked to comment about this, Manzano said: “Okay, it’s good, thank you very much.”
Mendiola has been in the media spotlight lately after the Kapamilya actress was voted the “sexiest woman” in the country by readers of FHM Philippines—a title previously held by Manzano’s ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin.
“I don’t want to limit women to titles nor statistics, napaka-unfair naman sa kanila noon, parang denumero lang,” Manzano said when asked about this. “Yes, it’s a prestigious title being hailed as the sexiest pero kapag ni-refer na sa akin parang puting them as statistics and that’s very unfair to all the ladies out there.”
Meanwhile, Manzano stayed mum when told that Locsin admitted that she is still hurting over their breakup.
“No matter what I say hahanapan ako ng mali. I hope people will understand that,” he said. (MNS)
