MANILA (Mabuhay) – Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said the third batch of cases in connection with the pork barrel scam of Janet Lim Napoles will be filed very soon.

De Lima declined to name the respondents, only saying that “several lawmakers” will be included.

“It will be several lawmakers ang kasama sa third batch. Malapit na malapit na,” De Lima told reporters after her confirmation hearing.

The filing may happen next week. “Baka early next week na lang, Monday or Tuesday,” she said.

The Department of Justice through the National Bureau of Investigation has filed two sets of cases before the Ombudsman against lawmakers, officials and individuals linked to the pork barrel scam of Janet Lim Napoles.

The Ombudsman, meanwhile, has filed before the Sandiganbayan plunder and graft charges against Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla in connection with the scam. (MNS)
