MANILA (Mabuhay) -– The Sandiganbayan has ordered the arrest of a former employee of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.

The Sandiganbayan’s First Division, which handles the plunder and graft cases of Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., ordered the arrest of Laarni Uy due to her failure to attend her arraignment.

Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Efren Dela Cruz also ordered the cancelation of Uy’s bail.

Uy was supposed to undergo arraignment last April 8, but this did not push through because of her absence. She also did not send any lawyer.

The pork barrel scam involves the allocation of lawmakers’ priority development assistance funds to bogus non-government organizations set up by Mrs. Napoles.

Whistle-blowers earlier said congressmen and senators could get as much as 50% in kickbacks for all pork barrel funds allocated to Napoles NGOs.

Napoles and the concerned lawmakers have denied the allegations. (MNS)
