IN A SOCIETY with ever-expanding needs, health insurance continues to climb to top priority.
The seeming inability of the government to provide Filipino citizens affordable — if not free — access to basic health services and medicine drives low and medium-income earners to apply (and remain) as employees of private companies offering pre-need medical benefits, even as their basic salaries are just enough to meet day-to-day needs.
