“Success books” are a dime a dozen and practically shows every possible way on the route to take for one to be successful in life. All of these books list vital attributes one should have to be able to achieve their goals. While some have yet to get the good fortune of combining the right mix to stay ahead of their competition many had been fortunate to find the ingredients to be successful in their endeavors.

The Secrets to Success Event in Orange County had many of the realities come to light courtesy of successful entrepreneurs from the entertainment and culinary fields last April at the Muzeo who shared their “secrets”.
The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County brought these exemplary personages to share to their audience at the signature event things that contributed to where they are now.

Giovanni Ortega (Actor, Author and Director) has been working professionally since 2004 and believes “in creating and accepting and inclusive relationship with artists and communities alike regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation and class”. He is the author of ALLOS, the story of Carlos Bulosan commissioned by East West Theater.
Linda Young (Entrepreneur), has an “inborn entrepreneurial spirit that prompted her to start a gift basket company called Tailored Baskets in 2000”. Her company has catered to corporate clients such as Southern California Edison, Wells Fargo, Union Bank, Angels Baseball, and The Irvine Company. A multi-awardee , her company had created more than a million gift baskets. She ventured into Elite OC Productions in 2007 which services private companies, corporations and nonprofit organizations in Orange County.
Louie Jocson, culinary chef, became interested in cooking as a young boy and worked in various restaurants while in high school. He had his formal training at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. He has been involved in his passion ever since with F&F Concepts Consulting (Owner); Antonello Ristorante (Co-Executive Chef); Sorrento Grille (Executive Chef/ Owner); Wind and Sea (Corporate Executive Chef); Farmers Market (Culinary Director); Karl Strauss (Culinary Director); Red Table Restaurant (Chef/Owner) and Zov’s Restaurant Group (Director of Culinary Operations).
Wendell Alinea is a Philippine-based photo-journalist and entrepreneur and one of the official photographers for Team Pacquiao. He is a frequent contributor to various Philippine, Fil-American and Fil-Canadian newspapers and websites. He graduated from the University of the Philippines in Diliman with a degree in Journalism.
Unable to work while undergoing chemotherapy during a bout with leukemia which he survived, he studied photography by reading books and researching online. His love for sports and background in journalism were the main factors in his decision to pursue a new career in sports photography.
