The PBA sets a new a new league attendance record in Game 7 of the 2017 Governors’ Cup Finals.
A total crowd of 54,086 rocked the colossal Philippine Arena Friday night as fans witnessed defending champion Ginebra beat Meralco 101-96 in the decisive rubber match, shattering the record it registered just two nights ago in Game 6 of 53,642.
Fans packed the world’s largest indoor arena to the rafters and eclipsed the previous marks set in Games 5 and 6 as they witnessed Ginebra won its back-to-back titles.

Just last Sunday, a total of 36,445 fans watched Game 5 of the Ginebra-Meralco series, setting the record for most fans in attendance for a Finals Game.
The previous league milestone for non-finals match-up was the opening of the 40th season in 2014 with a crowd of 52,612 fans watching a double-header featuring Kia and Blackwater and the Ginebra-TNT.
