“Philippine Travel Gems” Facebook Photo Contest.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Mabuhay) -– Beginning July 1 through November 30, 2016, the Philippine Department of Tourism-Los Angeles and Majestic Vacations are holding an exciting online promotional campaign: “Philippine Travel Gems” Facebook Photo Contest.
These travel and tourism industry partners are teaming up with Philippine Airlines to get Facebook users and travelers to the Philippines dig into and master their photography skills for a chance to win a Round Trip Ticket to the Philippines plus two (2) nights accommodation in a 5-star hotel in the Philippines, a brand new iPad Air, or a two (2) nights accommodation in a 5-star hotel in Manila.
“Philippine Travel Gems” Facebook Photo Contest is all about creating an opportunity for everyone to share their beautiful photos of their favorite travel destinations in the Philippines and promoting the country as one of the premier tour destinations in the world.
There is no registration fee to enter the contest, but the participant must be able to provide proof that he or she has traveled to the Philippines at anytime from December 1, 2015 to November 30, 2016.
Each participant may submit up to five entries of original photos that are not digitally altered or enhanced, must not bear any watermarks, signatures or other markings.
Each entry should have a title and a caption of at least 3 to 5 sentences describing when and where the photo was taken and what makes the place an exceptional tourist destination. Together with this, the following information must be submitted with each entry: name of the entrant, complete address, contact number and email address, and a copy of the entrant’s proof of travel to the Philippines during the specified period. Proof of travel could be copies of stamp on the passport upon entry to the Philippines, hotel registration, receipts, reservations, etc.
Screenings and final judging will be conducted by a panel appointed by the Philippine Department of Tourism-LA, Majestic Vacations, and Philippine Airlines. The winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:
Substance, impact and creativity: 50%
Composition, clarity and technical quality: 50%
The Most Popular Entry will be the one garnering the highest number of votes on Facebook (based on “likes” and “shares”).
The prizes include: First Prize – Philippine Airlines Round Trip ticket to the Philippines plus two (2) nights accommodation in a 5-star hotel; 2nd Prize: a brand new iPad Air; and the Most Popular Entry will win a 2 nights accommodation in a 5-star hotel in Manila.
