Port cargo volumes up 9% in first 9 months

THE VOLUME OF cargo passing through the country’s ports rose 9% in the first nine months of the year, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) reported, attributing the rise to the growing economy and the rush to have goods in stores by Christmas.
