Solon calls on VP Binay to quit Cabinet if he wants to attack PNoy, LP

A Liberal Party (LP) stalwart in the House of Representatives on Tuesday called on Vice President Jejomar Binay to quit from President Benigno Aquino III’s Cabinet if he wants to continue accusing LP of engineering reports linking Binay’s family to the P10-billion pork barrel scam.

In a privilege speech, Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice said that while Binay has cleared Aquino of involvement in smear campaigns against his family, he continues to “give the go-signal” for his family and members of the opposition coalition United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) to attack the President.

“Kung siya ay tunay na kakampi ng administrasyong Aquino, dapat ay utusan niya ang kanyang mga anak ay kapartido na tantanan ang pagbanat sa Malakanyang at sa partido ni Presidente Aquino,” Erice said.

“Ngunit kung siya ay tunay na lider ng oposisyon, dapat ay panindigan niya ito at agad siyang magbitiw sa Gabinete upang araw-araw niyang mabanatan ang mga nakikita niyang mali sa administrasyong Aquino at ng Liberal Party,” he added.
