St. Lorenzo Ruiz Church Music Ministry
Enjoy an evening serenaded by the St. Lorenzo Ruiz Church Music Ministry, the children’s choir, and special guest performers, the Harana Men’s Chorus, at the “Rejoice! Maranatha… God is Full of Mercy” concert on Saturday, December 12, 2015, 7-9 p.m. This is the second major Christmas concert to be held in the church located at 747 Meadowpass Road in Walnut, California.
Music from the show will highlight both the Season of Advent— a time to celebrate becoming Christmas when hearts are prepared for Christ’s birth, and the Jubilee Year of Mercy which the global Catholic Community is embarking on. By means of the evening’s performances, the faith family will also honor Our Lady of Guadalupe whose feast day is commemorated on that same day.
The leaders and volunteers of SLR Parish, under the most capable guidance and direction of Father Tony P. Astudillo, pastor, aspire not only to entertain but to evangelize and set the audience’s hearts aflame with Christ’s spirit of love and mercy. The last Christmas music event the parish hosted on December 2013 – The Winter Solstice – was very well received and got great reviews from parishioners and guests alike.
