MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) – Philippine shares closed 0.99 percent lower today.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index decreased by 71. 80 points to 7,196.26. The all-share index also went down by 43.33 points, or 1.009 percent, to 4,250.52.
Trading volume reached 40.37 billion shares worth P9.41 billion ($209.27 million).
There were 41 gainers, 139 losers while 47 stocks closed flat.
