MANILA  (Mabuhay) -– In the 13 years that they were living in one roof, Sunshine Cruz revealed she does not understand why her estranged husband Cesar Montano would always bring back her past as a bold star every time they would have misunderstandings.

A teary-eyed Cruz said she does not know why Montano couldn’t just move on from the past.

“Mayroon sigurong mga tao na hindi makakalimot sa past ng ibang tao. He would always tell me na dati kasi akong bold star. Masakit kasi kahit naman naging ganun ako, first boyfriend ko ‘yun eh. At 13 years na, ikaw ‘yung may ginagawa, tanggapin mo. Huwag mong ibalik ‘yung past, pelikula iyon eh,” she said.

Asked if this made her regret what she did before, Cruz said: “Dahil sa hirap, dahil sa mga naririnig ko, yeah sometimes. Parang why did I do this, I was so stupid. Pero nangyari na iyan eh. Hindi rin naman mag-mourn ako forever because of what I did before.”

But Cruz said she endured all this for the sake of their three children. But what really broke the camel’s back, according to the actress, what when one of their daughters asked her to talk to Montano because of a picture they saw in their father’s phone.

“We were having lunch one day and my 8-year-old told me na kausapin ko daw ‘yung tatay nila kasi may nakita sila sa phone. To cut the story short, I tried reaching out kay Buboy for four days…kasi it’s already affecting our children but unfortunately very busy siya that time for the movie, hindi siya nakauwi for days. I prayed and that was the time na I decided na maybe it’s time for me to move on,” she said.

Cruz said everybody knows how she gave their relationship so many chances until she finally realized that maybe it’s time for her to love herself more.

“Ilang beses akong humiwalay, nagpaamo, bumalik, humiwalay na naman, nagpaamo, bumalik. Parang I know in my heart and in my mind that I did everything to make it work pero 13 years na eh, kalian ko pa pagdedesisyunan na siguro it’s time to love myself more? Kapag 50 years old na ako? Siguro 13 years is enough,” she said.

Saying everything she’s doing is for her children, Cruz said: “Ayaw kong pagdating ng panahon na malalaki na sila, iisipin nila na kung ano man ang ginagawa or nangyayari sa amin, normal lang at kailangan din nila ma-experience ‘yun. Ayaw ko, ako na lang.”

While she doesn’t deny that they also had good times together as husband and wife, Cruz said she could recall more bad times in their marriage and that urged her to just move on.

“Hindi ko naman masasabi na wala rin kaming good times ng aking ex. Marami din pero mas marami ‘yung kalungkutan. Pero you try to conceal it for your children. Every day I ask for a miracle na baka naman magbago, mahal na mahal ko naman, ginagawa ko naman lahat. And then I got my miracle and it was me who changed. First boyfriend eh, so nandoon ang feeling mo na mamamatay ka or hindi mo kakayanin if mawala itong tao na ito sayo. Ito nga, dumating ang milagro na kaya ko naman pala,” she said.

As of now, Cruz revealed that she is already mulling to take legal steps to invalidate their marriage. (MNS)

Cesar Montano admits marital problems

Cesar Montano and Sunshine Dizon (MNS photo) MANILA, Feb 13 (Mabuhay) – Veteran actor Cesar Montano revealed he and his wife Sunshine Cruz are currently trying to fix things in their marriage following a recent controversy involving an alleged third party in their relationship. Speaking at the press conference of his upcoming movie “The Turning Cradle: The Untold Story of Alfredo Lim” on Tuesday, Montano said they are encountering marital problems which, he said, is common among couples. “May problema to be quite honest. Hindi totoong walang problema. Pero lahat naman talaga ng marriage imperfect, like tao. Only God is perfect, isa lang ang perfect sa mundo. Lahat naman nagkakaroon ng problema,” he said. Montano, however, vowed to do everything in his power to save his marriage. “Okay naman. Ngayon nasa proseso tayo ng pag-aayos talaga. Inaayos natin iyan. I love my family and I will not do anything to destroy my family. I want my children to grow up with us,” he said. Montano said it has not been easy for him to work and worry about this problem at the same time. “Well, to be quite honest, naapektuhan ako pero talagang pinili ko to get fixated dito sa pelikula. Pero hindi ko kaya dayain ang sarili ko na makialam pa sa ibang bagay na alam kong hindi makakatulong,” he said. Despite this, Montano said he tried not to entertain intrigues while doing the film so as not to affect his work. “Fixated ako sa pelikula kaya mapapansin niyo Read More …
