Young painter Worth Lodriga has once again carried the Philippine colors as he bagged the 1st place in the 2017 Student Mars Art (SMArt) Contest in Colorado, USA.

Lodriga, dubbed the Little Picasso of the Philippines, won in the elementary school category with his painting “Where No Man Has Gone Before.”
The Junior Picasso 7-Star Artist awardee from La Salle Greenhills competed in the Mars Society tilt against over 140 students around the world, and won with his own depiction of a phase of the human future on the planet Mars, from first landing to full settlement.
Lodriga’s art work will be included in a book on Mars Art, along with a feature on the Mars Society website.
The Mars Society is also awarding Lodriga with $1,000 and a trophy, along with an invitation to the 2017 International Mars Society Convention at the University of California in September to display and talk about his art.
