After reaching out to assure him of her support, trans woman, businessman and car enthusiast Angelina Mead King finally met singer Jake Zyrus at her shop.

On Instagram, Jake Zyrus thanked King for welcoming him in her car shop and allowing him to try the simulator.

In her Instagram page, King also thanked the singer for visiting her shop and even joked that Zyrus could be a car racer.

Last July, after changing his name to Jake Zyrus, the singer shared that he was touched to have received a message of support from King.

“I just wanted to reach out and show our support for you. Keep pushing the gender boundary to help pave the way for others who are afraid to become who they want to be,” King told the singer.

Zyruds came out as a transgender man last June while King revealed early this year that she is a transwoman. She is married to model-host Joey Mead. (MNS)

San Miguel takes over Aleco

MANILA, Philippines – Diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corp. formally takes over ailing Albay Electric Cooperative (Aleco), Energy Secretary Carlos Jericho Petilla said over the weekend. The two parties will sign the agreement tomorrow, Oct. 29, in a formal ceremony at San Miguel’s headquarters in Ortigas. “The takeover is merely a formality because they’re already assessing right now. I don’t know how many people they have in Aleco but they are now doing the inspection works. The signing is for me, just ceremonial or formality,” Petilla said. Under the agreement, San Miguel Corp., through SMC Global Power Holdings Corp. would be spending at least P250 million to pay off Aleco’s debts. This is just the minimum, Petilla said. Albay Governor Joey Salceda has said that San Miguel also needs to spend for the plant’s rehabilitation, which could cost up to P1 billion. Bettor wins P23.715M in Megalotto 6/45 draw

A lone bettor won P23.715 million in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Megalotto 6/45 draw Wednesday night. The PCSO said the bettor got the winning combination of 41-09-45-03-21-17 to win the night’s prize. The PCSO did not identify the winner. On the other hand, no one got the combination of 25-35-30-44-24-18 that would have won Tuesday night’s Grand Lotto jackpot of P30 million. On Tuesday night, a lone bettor got the combination of 29-39-11-15-07-21 to bag the Lotto 6/42 prize worth P17,093,184. Last July 1, a lone lotto bettor became P178.849 million richer after hitting the jackpot of the PCSO Grand Lotto draw. A lone bettor is now P17.093 million richer after winning the jackpot of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 draw Tuesday night. The PCSO said the winner got the correct combination of 29-39-11-15-07-21. But the PCSO, as in the past, did not identify the winner. On the other hand, the PCSO said no one won the Superlotto 6/49 jackpot. The combination of 46-49-15-16-35-18 would have meant a prize of P80,918,896.
