She is optimistic about having an international career. And Megan Young isn’t afraid to move out of the country in pursuit of it.

The former beauty queen said her work takes priority over everything else, even marriage.

“Kung ang nasa puso mo ay kasal, gawin mo,” she told the late-night talk show, adding: “Pero kung ang puso mo ay career, push for it kasi minsan lang nandiyan iyan while the love of your life will always be there for you no matter what.

“Kahit late na kayong magpakasal, it doesn’t matter. What matters is the relationship you have.”

Young is currently in a relationship with actor Mikael Daez, her boyfriend for more than 7 years. She said that they have talked about settling down, but there hasn’t been any concrete plans yet.

Young will be travelling to New York soon, as she aims to start an acting career abroad. Last year, she signed a five-year contract with US-based Innovative Artists Agency.

“It’s another chapter in my life, if ever,” she said.

Young was crowned Miss World in 2013. Prior to that, she was an actress under Star Magic. (MNS)

Cuneta noted her achievements in showbiz, saying she doesn’t deserve the kind of ridicule she gets from some netizens. “How easily people forget that I once maybe made them, or their mom, or someone they love, happy. How easily they forget. “I hope they remember more than any contribution I have made to my beloved industry the way I lived my life, raised my daughter with only the help of my parents and friends, how good of a daughter I have been. And how much I loved my public. Maybe they’ll even remember how very much they loved me,” she said. Cuneta has already taken a break from Twitter last September, citing the need to rest from all the “meanness of people, the intrigues and questions.” The earlier decision came after Cuneta drew flak for congratulating Read More …
