The Filipino-American athlete made his 3 rd repeat of his feats in 2013 in Myanmar and 2015 in Singapore to keep the title as Asia’s Top 400m hurdler.

The Olongapo-City born Cray clocked 50.03 to take the men’s hurdles finals gold, giving the country its 8th gold in the current 29th SEA Games in Malaysia.

Interviewed by sports journalist Dyan Castillejo after his win, Cray said, "I should retire now from the 400-meter hurdles. It's such a hard race."

Cray also picked up the Silver at the 100-m sprint despite finishing the hurdles finals barely an hour before the scheduled sprint finals.

Before the SEA Games, the track and field champion took home the Philippines’ first 400m hurdles gold from the Asian Athletics Championships held in India.

The 2016 Rio Olympian has been donning the Philippine colors in tracks around the world at the encouragement of his Filipina mother.
