It may not happen this year, but veteran actor Aga Muhlach assured his fans that his highly anticipated reunion movie with Lea Salonga will push through.

Earlier this year, many were disappointed when Salonga announced that her third movie project with Muhlach won’t be hitting cinemas anytime soon. It follows the success of their first two movies, “Sana Maulit Muli” and “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal.”

Speaking to bloggers on Thursday, Muhlach said he and Salonga “owe it to the public” to make one “last” film together.

“Lea and I will make it happen, but we just don’t know when,” he said.

Salonga is currently in New York for the revival of “Once On This Island” on Broadway. Muhlach said she will be back in the country next June.

“Ilang years na naming pina-plano ‘yan, at hindi natutuloy. Pero, let’s see. If it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen,” he said.

At the same bloggers’ conference, Muhlach was asked to name three leading ladies he’d like to work with soon. It was no surprise that Salonga tops his list.

Meanwhile, after five years, Muhlach is making his movie comeback in Star Cinema’s “Seven Sundays,” which opens in cinemas on October 11.

In the ensemble family drama, Muhlach plays the eldest son of Ronaldo Valdez. Playing his siblings are Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes and Enrique Gil.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, “Seven Sundays” also stars Donita Rose, Ketchup Eusebio, and Kean Cipriano, among others.  (MNS)

Coco, Kim still working on building chemistry

Kim Chui and Coco Martin (MNS photo) Coco Martin is working extra hard to develop good rapport with Kim Chiu, his leading lady in the upcoming ABS-CBN series “Ikaw Lamang.” Although this is third time that Martin and Chiu will be working together after “Tayong Dalawa” in 2009 and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” in 2010, the award-winning actor said they still have to build up a strong on-screen chemistry. “Kailangan dalawa kayong nagkakaintindihan. Ako kasi honestly sa lahat ng nakakatrabaho ko, kailangan namin ng panahon,” he said. Noting that chemistry doesn’t come easily, Martin admitted having a hard time adjusting during his scenes with Chiu. “Actually mahirap lalong lalo na sa akin. Siyempre ngayon nagsisimula pa lang kami, kailangan talaga ;yun pagtuunan ng pansin, ng panahon kasi kailangan kong trabahuhin na magkaroon kami ng chemistry ni Kim. Medyo matagal kaming hindi nagkasama,” he said. Chiu, for her part, said: “May pinagsamahan na rin kami kahit papano. Pero ‘yung mga kilig-kilig, tinatrabaho talaga namin. Marami kaming inputs sa isa’t isa. May kinunan kami nung isang araw na eksena, medyo piniga namin. Maganda naman ang kinalabasan. Team work dapat.” Given the many top-rating shows that they have done, both Chiu and Martin feel fortunate to be given another chance to star in a television series together. “Kilala si Coco bilang napakaraming best actor awards so isang karangalan sa akin na makapareho ang isang Coco Martin. Sigurado akong marami akong matututunan bilang artista lalo na sa larangan ng drama,” Chiu said. “Lalo na ngayon Read More …
