Halloween weekend packages at Manila Hotel
The Manila Hotel is transformed into a haunted mansion for Halloween. Guests in costumes will receive discounts of up to 50 percent at the Café Ilang Ilang. Book a Halloween Weekend package, available every Saturday and Sunday of this month, for P9,500. Guests can stay in a Superior Deluxe room and have buffet breakfast at Café Ilang Ilang the following day (for two). The package also includes tickets to the Manila Ocean Park’s Oceanarium as well as two tickets for the hotel’s Kiddie Trick or Treat activity every Saturday at 4 p.m..

Halloween costume contest at Riverbanks Center
Riverbanks Center offers its Halloween costume contest on Oct. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ivy Lane grounds. Registration is ongoing until Oct. 25 at the Jollibee Riverbanks branch with a registration fee of P175, which comes with a free loot bag. Scariest costume contest is open to boys and girls 12 years old and below only. As an added treat, the participant who has the most number of family members in costume will win a special prize. There will also be a Riverbanks “Funtasy Run” on Oct. 25, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Ampitheater. A minimal registration fee of P150 will be required for kids who will run only and P250 for those who will run and join the Halloween parade. Adults’ registration fee is at P200 per person. Registration starts from 2 to 4 p.m. The actual run and announcement of winners will be between 4 to 5 p.m.
