MANILA (Mabuhay) — Jennylyn Mercado is the newest calendar girl of Tanduay Rhum for 2015.
She is the first mother to join the elite faces of the liquor brand that include Heart Evangelista, KC Concepcion, Carla Abellana, Iya Villania and Nina Jose, among others.
The 27-year-old actress-triathlete said it’s been her most daring pictorial, the first time she had worn a two-piece bikini in a photo shoot. She made it a point that her mom was first to see the photos.
On accepting the offer to pose sexy, she said, “Why not? Once in a lifetime opportunity. Habang kaya pa ng katawan ko and toned pa, sige!”
Jennylyn devoted two weeks to prepare for the shoot.
“Kasi nakakahiya naman kung ie-edit lang nila ’di ba? Parang bibigyan ko pa sila ng trabaho. Saka iba ’yung confidence ’pag handa ka eh, alam mo sa sarili mo na kaya mo namang ilabas ’to ng wala kang hesitation…” said she.
The actress said the photos show her “fierce” side, which doesn’t happen everyday. Though already a mom (her son is five-year-old Jazz), she believes in the importance of living a balanced life that includes exercise, healthy eating and keeping a positive mindset. (MNS)
