Thalia pulls a prank about her ‘ribs’

MEXICAN superstar Thalia recently pulled an elaborate joke on her Instagram followers, days after television host Kris Aquino opened up the rumors about the Mexican superstar’s slim figure. In last week’s episode of “Aquino & Abunda Tonight,” Aquino asked guest Beauty Gonzalez, who shared the secret behind her slim and sexy figure on the show, if she had her ribs removed to achieve a slim waistline. Aquino then related the long-standing rumor that Thalia had gone under the knife to get her slim waist. Days after the interview, the 42-year-old Mexican actress took to Instagram to clear the stories about her infamous ribs. She initially uploaded a photo of a glass jar containing her ribs to “confirm” the rumor. She said she kept them as a “souvenir.” Thalia wrote: “To all my loving Filipino fans, here is the proof. I love my famous ribs. I kept them with me all these years.” But what seems to be her infamous ribs turned into a joke when singer/actress posted a day after that it was just a trick. “Nope, not mine,” she said. Thalia then posted a picture of a Spicy Pork Spare Ribs dish. After the whole hullabaloo, the singer invited Aquino, her close friend Boy Abunda and news personality Anthony Taberna to have a meal with her and even said she would cook Bulalo. Publicity stunt?

WHILE the fans of the Popstar Princess have been overjoyed upon learning that their idol is in a relationship with Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli, some have expressed reservations that the admission could just be a publicity stunt. Last month, a number of viewers were shocked when they heard Kapamilya singer-actress Sarah Geronimo confirming her relationship with a fellow Kapamilya artist in an interview with ABS-CBN’s Sunday showbiz talk show, The Buzz. Though, rumors about them were already circulating since January. “O sige, sasabihin ko na po. Boyfriend ko po si Matteo,” she said. Sarah even admitted that their term of endearment for each other is “Mahal.” The initial reaction of viewers can be associated to the well-publicized standpoint of her parents, especially of her Mommy Divine, when it comes to having a romantic relationship. It can be recalled that her supposed romance with Rayver Cruz and Gerald Anderson didn’t push through due in part to the alleged negative opinions and restrictions of her parents, particularly that of her mother’s. So when the 25-year-old Kapamilya star revealed that Matteo is already her beau, a number of people couldn’t believe that she was actually doing such move. As for Matteo, he shared on his interview with Yahoo! Philippines that the courtship wasn’t easy and he needed to hurdle some challenges. “There were lots of challenges. But I didn’t let it affect me because Sarah is worth it,” he said. When asked how she won the heart of Sarah, he said that it Read More …

Tom Rodriguez: ‘I’m where I’m supposed to be’

TOM Rodriguez believes that destiny has a funny way of making things work and guiding individuals to their right path. In a recent interview with the Kapuso actor, Rodriguez shared that four years ago, he never envisioned himself joining show business and earning a living through acting. The 26-year-old actor thought that it was just pure luck when he entered the Pinoy Big Brother house in 2009 or even his inclusion in noontime series “Be Careful With My Heart”. Tom Rodriguez When opportunity knocked on his door last year and he was tapped to be one of the cast of “My Husband’s Lover” opposite Carla Abellana and Dennis Trillo, he gambled and moved to GMA-7, which he said was the best decision he has ever made. “Before I didn’t believe in destiny, I thought it was fake or something you saw in movies. But me being here, is a proof enough. I never envisioned my life would be anything like this. When I joined showbiz, hindi ko ito nakita, hindi ko ito pinangarap,” he said. Rodriguez added: “The bad and the good experiences, one small decision that I made differently, I would not be sitting here now. Hindi ko naman sinasabi na parang chess pieces tayo, pero I feel na someone is directing us, guiding us. I’m here right now where I’m supposed to be and I believe it now. Before I was fighting it pa. I’m now a believer of destiny.” After the successful run of the hit primetime Read More …
