NEWLY engaged couple John Prats and Isabel Oli recalled the former’s recent wedding proposal and shared their wedding plans.
In a Cinema News interview, Oli shared that she thought it was just a typical mall night in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City last Wednesday, September 24.
The actress was surprised when she saw Prats and hundreds of people dancing to Jason Derulo’s song “Will You Mary Me?”
“Wala akong talagang naramdaman.
Oli added that she was with Prat’s sister, Camille, when the whole thing happened.
Oli said things started to sink in when an audio-visual presentation was flashed on the screen and Prats went down on one knee.
“Inisip ko naman anniversary or monthsary ba namin? Pero hindi naman ako nagkamali ng date. Hanggang lumuhod na siya, dun na lang.”
Prats said it was one of the happiest days of his life and he was thankful that he was able to gather a 300 people flash mob proposal.
The actor said that it took him two months to prepare the mob and organize the whole stunt.
“Marami na siyang beses na siyang nagawa dito at sa ibang bansa, pero feeling ko yun talaga yung way ko para ma-express yung nararamdaman ko kay Liv and gusto na ganun yung way of proposing,” he said.
“Mas risky siya kasi two months in the making. Mahirap magsinungaling at baka mamaya mabuking. Dun ako hirap na hirap,” he added.
The “Banana Split” host is thankful that their dearest and closest friends were there to witness the wedding proposal and that both of their families gave their blessings to him.
“Iba pala yung nagpapaalam ka. Iba yung tension. May blessing nila and smooth naman lahat,” he said.
Thankful ako kasi hindi nila ako iniwan at sinuportahan nila yung buong process,” he added.
When asked if they already set a wedding date, the couple said they are taking one step at a time and just enjoying their engaged status.
Next level yun, new journey naman sa amin,” Prats said.
Prats and Oli first met and worked together in “It Might Be You” in 2003. Ten years later, in 2013, they reconnected again through the actor’s sister, Camille. (Sunnex)
