Los Angeles – The Our Lady of the Angels Pastoral Region of the Filipino Ministry of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will once again host the Annual Simbang Gabi Advent (night mass).
It is the 14th anniversary of the liturgical celebration of the Philippine tradition of culture, faith, and preparation for the birth of Jesus Christ. Our theme this year is “JESUS, MAKE USGENEROUSDISPENSERS OF YOUR DIVINE MERCY” translated in Tagalog, “HESUS, GAWINMOKAMING MASAGANANG DALUYAN NG IYONG BANAL NA AWA.”

WHY: We consider our celebration a rich cultural heritage as well as a service totheFilipino American community. The beginning of the 9 days novena before Christmas strengthen our family relationship and bring God’s presence to unityand peace.
PAROL PROCESSION:Ministers from parishes of the Pastoral Regions of Santa Barbara, San Fernando, San Gabriel, San Pedroand Our Lady of the Angelstogether withDignitaries, Civic,Business and Non-profit organizations will march with their banner and parol (lantern), a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem.
MAIN CELEBRANT:Most ReverendArchbishop Jose H. Gomez, D.D.Other Concelebrants will be the Bishops and Priests of the Archdiocese.
EXPECTED ATTENDANCE: 3,000.
