MANILA, Philippines – Eight domestic flights were canceled on Thursday due to bad weather and aircraft situation, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Media Affairs Division said.

PAL Express called off its Manila to Basco, Batanes flight 2P-084 and its return flight 2P-085, along with its Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila 2P-014/015 flight.

Meanwhile, Zest Air flight Z2 763 from Manila to Cebu which was supposed to depart at 7:20 a.m. and its return flight 2P-764 expected to arrive at 10:25 a.m. were also suspended, citing aircraft situation as reason.

Cebu Pacific Air also had it flight 5J-504/505 Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila canceled.

7 CDO flights canceled due to bad weather - DOTC

At least seven flights to and from Cagayan de Oro City were canceled late Monday due to bad weather, the Department of Transportation and Communications said. In posts on its Twitter account, the DOTC said the affected flights included those of Philippine Airlines Express, Cebu Pacific, and Zest Air. The canceled flights were: PAL Express:– 2P-525 (Manila to Cagayan de Oro)– 2P-526 (Cagayan de Oro to Manila) Cebu Pacific:– 5J-389, 5J-391 (Manila to Cagayan de Oro)– 5J-390, 5J-392 (Cagayan de Oro to Manila). Earlier, the DOTC said a Zest Air flight was also canceled. It identified the flight as Z2-349 from Cagayan de Oro to Manila. PAGASA had said rain would fall over Luzon, Visayas and parts of Mindanao in the next 24 hours due to the inter-tropical convergence zone. “Luzon, Visayas and the regions of Caraga and Northern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms,” said the PAGASA forecast. The rest of Mindanao would be “partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.” — DVM, GMA News

DOTC: 8 domestic flights canceled due to aircraft situation

At least eight domestic flights were canceled Sunday, six of them due to “aircraft situation,” the Department of Transportation and Communications said. In posts on its Twitter account, the DOTC said four of the flights belonged to air carrier Cebu Pacific, while the other four belonged to Zest Air. Two of the canceled Cebu Pacific flights included 5J-919: Manila to Caticlan and  5J-920: Caticlan to Manila The other two were 5J-341: Manila to Kalibo and 5J-342: Kalibo to Manila Meanwhile, the canceled Zest Air flights were: – Z2-202: Manila to Marinduque– Z2-203: Marinduque to Manila– Z2-412: Manila to Busuanga– Z2-413: Busuanga to Manila The DOTC did not give further details on the “aircraft situation” that caused the cancellations. DOTC: 2 flights canceled due to bad weather

Two domestic flights were canceled Thursday amid bad weather conditions brought by Tropical Depression Crising, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said. In a post on its Twitter account, the DOTC said the affected flights were those of Zest Air, between Manila and Tablas (Romblon). The affected flights were Z2-240 and Z2-241, from Manila to Tablas and back. Earlier this week, several domestic flights had been canceled due to bad weather conditions brought by Crising. PAGASA said Crising, which had brought rain to several parts of Mindanao this week, is heading for Southern Palawan. It said Crising may exit the Philippine area of responsibility by early Friday. — KBK, GMA News
