Two of the most-coveted, multi-awarded international Filipino singers- Jed Madela and Morissette Amon, are set to perform live in Pechanga Resort & Casino theater on August 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Commonly known as John Edward Tajanlangit, JED is a Filipino recording artist and TV host, who became the first to win the World Grand Champion title with a uniquely wide vocal range.
Madela, who hailed from Iloilo, Philippines, started his singing career at five years old while joining various competitions where he usually ended up winning. As Madela rose to stardom, he represented the country in 2003 to join and landed first in surveys in the Voice of Asia competition as he bagged the ‘People’s Choice Award.’ Thereafter, he received numerous awards like the ‘Sponsor’s Choice’, the Mainhill Award as the ‘Best Voice of Asia Male Singer. ‘ He made waves during the 2005 World Championship of the Performing Arts in Hollywood, California a she vested over 3,000 contestants from 52 countries to win the grand prize.
The highly acclaimed singer also shared the limelight with George Benson and Billy Joel who both received the Lifetime Achievement Awards in the same award-giving body. Madela’s powerful voice was showcased in these winning pieces in the three-day competition– “I’ll Be Around”, “Labis Akong Umiibig”, and the festival version of Martin Nievera’s hit song “Be My Lady”.
While Madela’s albums became a hit and after nine years with Universal Records, he finally inked a contract with ABS-CBN’s music recording company and likewise, remains a contract artist of the ‘Kapamilya’ record label, Star Records, with an all-original feature songs.
Back to back with Madela to render one of the most ‘Golden Voices’ in the music industry is Morissette Amon, who at the onset of her career was discovered and coached by world-renowned singer, Sarah Geronimo.
Amon, better known as Johanne Morissette Daug Amon, who was runner up on TV5’s ‘Star Factor’ at the age of 14. In 2012, she made her professional stage debut in the Repertory Philippines production of Disney’s ‘Camp Rock.
The talented singer-actress, who also joined the Voice of the Philippines, became a recording artist of Star Music/Star Records in early 2014 and released her self-titled album, ‘Morissette’ in March 2015. Amon was tagged as “The Next Diva, “ as she became part of ABS-CBN’s Sunday noon show, ASAP.
Like Madela, Amon is not far behind in winning an award as the New Female Recording Artist of the Year by the 7th PMPC Star Awards for Music in November 2015 and she bagged the Female Artist of the Year on M.O.R. Pinoy Music Awards in August 2016.
