Sarah Geronimo is on a roll!

Sarah Geronimo (MNS photo)   Aside from the impressive box-office performance of her reunion movie with John Lloyd Cruz, the singer-actress had another reason to celebrate on Sunday after her ward, Jona Soquite, was named the very first champion of “The Voice Teens.” But instead of boasting about her back-to-back feat, Geronimo humbled herself and expressed how grateful she is with all the blessings coming her way. “Hindi ko dine-deserve. I feel so blessed! Napakagandang birthday gift, sobra sobra,” she said. Geronimo turned 29 last July 25. Indeed, what a way for Geronimo to make a comeback on “The Voice” after skipping a season last year. “Sobrang amazed lang ako sa season na ito, sa teens edition, kasi napaka-diverse ng musicality ng bawat artist. May operatic, may power ballad, mayroong talagang texture ng boses. Sabi ko nga, kahit sino sa kanila ang manalo, magiging happy ako. Pero siyempre Team Sarah pa rin,” she said. Meanwhile, Geronimo only has words of thanks for everyone who watched her movie with Cruz since it opened on Wednesday. According to producer Star Cinema, the movie already earned P100 million in just four days. “Sobrang overwhelming ang suporta ng mga tao. Noong bumabagyo, noong malakas ang hangin, nag-ikot kami ni Lloydie sa mga cinemas para magpasalamat sa mga tao. Hindi ako makapaniwala na ganun pa rin ang suporta kahit masama ang panahon,” she said. How Lea feels about being Aga’s ‘the one that got away’

Lea Salonga (MNS photo) Lea Salonga said she was at a loss for words when she first learned that she is Aga Muhlach’s “TOTGA” or “the one that got away.” Salonga said she only knew about it after Muhlach submitted his contribution for her book. “I was in shock. We asked him kasi to write a message. I was going to different people para dito sa librong ito. Of course, how do we not ask him to make a contribution? And then all of a sudden, we got the submission from Aga,” she narrated. Saying she couldn’t talk for a couple of seconds after seeing it, Salonga shared: “[My editor and I] were both in shock. Kaming pareho, we were looking at his letter. We were like, ‘Oh my God.’ The only reaction was ‘Wow!’ Yun lang. Frozen in my chair.” While it surprised her, Salonga said she found Muhlach’s message “very sweet, very well written, and very heartfelt.” According to Salonga, she and Muhlach never became a couple in real life because timing was never on their side. “Bad timing talaga because when we were shooting ‘Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal,’ ako iyong may boyfriend sa totoong buhay. Noong ‘Sana Maulit Muli,’ during the first part, umiiyak-iyak siya because he had just broken up with a girlfriend. And then naghiwalay muna kami because he had another movie to make, and I had a musical. So we started doing ‘Sana Maulit Muli’ again. Nagka-girlfriend ulit. Ako naman ang single.
