VITAL C-Davao has gone a notch higher in keeping people in top shape, as it is set to open the first-of-its-kind health and wellness center in Mindanao early next year.

Albert Obenza, branch manager of Vital C-Davao, said the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment fit for the Vital C products, and to be manned by doctors and nurses.

Among the equipment already in place at the center are the Vital Resonance Analyzer (VRA), Live Cell Analysis (LCA), and Cardio-Vacular Analyzer (CVA), all are imported from Germany.

“We’re still preparing the center,” he said.

Obenza said they are now in the phase of putting in some finishing touches to the center. They will also train two or three doctors, plus nurses on how to operate the equipment before finally opening its doors to the public.

The VRA can determine whether one’s body lacks vitamins and minerals, or the machine can also be more specific by pinpointing which among the body’s organs are not anymore in good shope.

“It can detect unsay kulang sa imong system unsa nga organ ang weak… makita pud nato unsa nga product ang dapat itake (It can detect what’s lacking in your system and which organ is week. Then, we’ll know which product to take),” he said.

The LCA is used simply to analyze the thickness of the blood. When results from blood samples turned out to be stickier, the patient is prone to stroke and heart failure.

Obenza explained that “sticky blood” hampers good circulation of vitamins, minerals, and oxygen to the body’s organs.

For such case, Vital C has Nattoshield, developed in Japan from an enzyme derived from soya beans called nattokinase, which acts as a “blood thinner.” This product, a blood normalizer in simpler term, can also aid stroke patients.

“You can see the improvement 30 minutes after you take Nattoshield,” he said.

Another equipment is the CRA, which can check the condition of the hearts of the patients.

Packages on how to avail the services of the center will soon be out.

However, Vital C is in the trial phase, letting its distributors and their families get first dibs on the center’s services.

“We have packages to choose from that are programmed for one year for patients with medical conditions,” said Obenza.

Vital C was opened across Philippines in 2007, but had taken off only in 2008.

1,700 daily passengers affected due to Zambo airport closure

MANILA — Cebu Pacific Air Inc. (Cebu Pacific) is closely coordinating with the government for the re-accommodation of passengers affected by the Zamboanga Airport temporary closure due to the ongoing crisis in Zamboanga city. Lance Gokongwei, Cebu Pacific president and chief executive officer, on Thursday said at least 1,700 passengers of the airline have been affected daily since the airport has been ordered temporarily closed on Wednesday. “We are giving them (passengers) option. They can rebook their tickets or we can refund them,” Gokongwei said in a press briefing shortly after the arrival ceremony of the airline’s newest aircraft, the long range Airbus A330 here. He said he can only give a figure on affected passengers and begged off when asked how much the airline is losing due to cancellation of its flights to and from Zamboanga. Cebu Pacific flies to Zamboanga four times daily from Manila, once daily from Cebu and Tawi-Tawi, three times weekly from Cagayan de Oro City, and four times weekly from Davao City. On Friday, Cebu Pacific arranged two special flights from Tawi-Tawi to Cebu to accommodate passengers who are travelling for the Hajj Pilgrimage. Cebu Pacific’s daily flights between Zamboanga and Tawi-Tawi have been suspended since September 9. Upon arrival in Cebu, passengers were re-accommodated on scheduled Cebu Pacific flights from Cebu to Manila on the same day, an advisory said. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, meanwhile, has extended the suspension of Zamboanga Airport operations from September 13 to 16 due to Read More …

JC de Vera wants Maja, Kim, Sarah as leading ladies

THE newest member of the Kapamilya Network, JC de Vera, is keen about having Maja Salvador, Kim Chiu, and Sarah Geronimo as his leading ladies in his future projects. In an interview with Toni Gonazaga and Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach in The Buzz last Sunday, the Kapatid-turned-Kapamilya actor (but originally a Kapuso hunk) revealed that he finds these three girls interesting to work with because of their innate talents, like dancing. As the 27-year-old actor mentioned the names of these girls, one thing immediately popped up in my mind — all of them have a story to share about Gerald Anderson. Well, we know that Maja is the girlfriend of Gerald right now while Kim was the former and Sarah was “the almost”. Still, there might not be some malice to the choices made by JC. It just simply happened that he also likes the personality of these three. Or, does it mean that his taste on women can likened to that of Gerald’s? I’m justasking, though. JC started his showbiz career with the Kapuso Network in 2003 where he became part of the teen-oriented show Click. In 2010, the actor ended his six-and-a-half-year stint with GMA and signed a three-year non-exclusive tie with the Kapatid Network where he topbilled some TV series like My Driver Sweet Lover, Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum, and Valiente. He was also a mainstay of the gag show LokoMoko U. New teleserye JC announced that he is going to star in a teleserye alongside Angel Locsin, Jericho Read More …
